Radhastami is the day when the blessings of Divine love are abundantly showered upon
everyone who aspires for it. Krsnadas Kaviraja Goswami ecstatically raises his voice in glorification of Srimati Radharani:
“If one asks about the origin of love of Krishna the answer is that the origin is Srimati
If one asks: „Who is the most dear friend of Krishna?‟
The answer again is: „Srimati Radharani alone.‟
She is able to fulfill all of Krishna‟s desires like no one else.”
In order for us to be able to please Krishna, we should hear the words of the dear devotees
of Srimati Radharani whose deep realizations can guide us to a greater spiritual understanding.
Srila Prabhupada taught us how to please Lord Krishna by taking full shelter of Srimati Radharani:
“So this is our philosophy, to please Krishna through Radharani. Just today is the
auspicious day of Radharani´s appearance. So we should offer puspanjali and pray to Radharani that „Radharani, kindly be merciful and tell about me to Your Krishna. Krishna is Yours.‟
Krishna, Radha-Krishna. Krishna is not independent. Krishna is Radharani´s property. So you
have to approach Krishna through Radharani. That is, today is the auspicious day. Worship
Radharani very nicely and be happy.”
(Srila Prabhupada‟s in a Radhastami lecture, London, Sep 5, 1073)
In the hope that this day will be an unforgettable day where the rain of mercy will give
fresh nourishment to the plant of our bhakti.
