Newsletter June 2026

Dear friends of Goloka Dhama,

My wife and I are regularly reading from a small booklet of poems composed by H.H. Sacinandana Swami. The title of this compilation is „Whispering voices“. This caught our attention and we decided to look deeper into this soft, Divine whispering.

We live in a world that is very loud, so loud that we often cannot hear ourselves, what so speak of hearing or perceiving the murmur of the Lord. Even in solitude, our mind and desires might be much louder that His sweet whisper.

But if we are attentive, awake and conscious, we might perceive the whisper of the Lord in the beauty of the nature. Just by appreciating the beauty of a blossom, the sound of a small river and the perfume of the flower bearing spring, we are connecting with Krsna´s whisper, which reminds us that He is the originator of all this beauty.

A whisper is mysterious. When one whispers some words to another person, they are meant for him only; no one else should hear it. It is an intimate secret. The whisper of God is also very personal and intimate for each of us.

To hear this whisper, one needs to hear very carefully and that might need some practice. One devotee once told me that when we hear carefully the Holy Name, the Maha Mantra Hare Krsna Hare Krsna Krsna Krsna Hare Hare, Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare, we will soon be able to hear the voice and direction of the Lord. Indeed, if we hear the Holy Name carefully, how sweet and divine the experience is?

While contemplating on this topic, my wife came across a beautiful quote of Srila Prabhupada that guides us in perceiving the Lord.

Srimad Bhagavatam 8.1.11

“Although the Supreme Personality of Godhead constantly watches the activities of the world, no one sees Him. However, one should not think that because no one sees Him, He does not see, for His power to see is never diminished. Therefore, everyone should worship the Supersoul, who always stays with the individual soul as a friend.

PURPORT

In Bhagavad-gītā it is said that one can see the Supreme Personality of Godhead through jñāna-cakṣuṣaḥ, eyes of knowledge. He who opens these eyes of knowledge is called a spiritual master.

When the disciple is awakened from ignorance to knowledge, he can see the Supreme Personality of Godhead everywhere because the Lord actually is everywhere. Aṇḍāntara-stha-paramāṇu-cayāntara-stham. The Lord resides within this universe, He resides within the hearts of all living entities, and He resides even within the atom. Because we lack perfect knowledge, we cannot see God, but a little deliberation can help us to see God everywhere. This requires training. Thus, if we take into account the Supreme Personality of Godhead in our daily affairs, we can see Him or at least perceive His presence everywhere.

With our best wishes and the prayer for the ability to hear this beautiful whisper,

On behalf of the Goloka Dhama community,

Your servants, Gaurahari dasa and Vaijayanti dasi
